Brian McGregor
Managing Principal & Co-FounderBrian is Managing Principal and Co-Founder with the Sargent Investment Group. He began his career on Wall Street in 2003 working with Deutsche Bank’s institutional clients on both the firm’s stock and equity portfolio platforms where he helped to manage and trade domestic equity portfolios for a broad range of hedge funds and mutual funds. In 2010, Brian joined FBR & Co. in Washington, D.C. where he performed a similar role, specifically working with the firm’s dedicated real estate investment trust clients. Brian made the transition from working with institutions to working with individuals in 2013 returning to Deutsche Bank in their Asset & Wealth Management division, prior to joining The Sargent Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2015. In the summer of 2018, Brian, and his two partners, decided to launch their own RIA which became the Sargent Investment Group, LLC. Brian has broad experience helping investors construct dynamic portfolios as well as designing and implementing execution strategies.
Brian graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Economics, where he co-captained a three time national champion lacrosse team. He holds an MBA as well as a Masters of Finance from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. Brian serves on the Advisory Board for his alma mater, McDonogh School, in Baltimore, Maryland as well as on the Board of Directors for the Washington Home in Washington, D.C. Brian also serves on the Investment Committee and Finance Committee for the Washington Home. He resides in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wife and three children.
